BIO-OIL SEQUESTRATIO

We use a multistage cascading type auger reactor for fast pyrolysis of lignocellulosic biomass, yielding 30% biochar and 20% bio-oil (organic fraction) per tonne of input. Our bio-oil carries a 65% carbon content, a high-purity stream that becomes the feedstock for two distinct sequestration pathways.

01

Pathway 1 – Bio-oil into Asphalt (ongoing ) :Our core innovation is the conversion of bio-oil into a highly viscous semi-solid  making it directly compatible with bitumen for road construction. This allows carbon to be permanently stored underneath road surfaces, within a 50 km radius of each production site.

Pathway 2 – Geological Storage (In Permitting)In parallel, we are pursuing permits to inject bio-oil directly into depleted oil wells – the same pathway pioneered by Charm Industrial (USA), currently the only company supplying bio-oil geological storage credits to Frontier. Our ex-IOCL director is leading this permitting process, positioning Engrow to become the first company outside the US to deliver geological bio-oil storage credits at scale.
